Posted:3/15/2010 – New WT Labeling Kit. As of June 30, 2010, Affymetrix will discontinue its WT labeling kit for use with Gene and Exon arrays. The new kit from Ambion has the same chemistry, but the process is quicker, requires less RNA input, and for the Exon arrays, no longer requires the removal of rRNA. Investigators are encourage to complete their studies with the old kits and begin any new studies with the newer kits. Please let our technicians know when you drop off samples what your project status is. For more information, please visit our WT page.
Posted:4/13/2009 – New IVT Express Kit for 3′ expression arrays. The GeneChip® 3′ IVT Express Kit is the latest and most effective option for target preparation on Affymetrix’ industry-standard 3′ expression arrays. This protocol has low RNA input requirements – as little as 50 ng total RNA for a single round of amplification. Please note: Affymetrix will continue to supply the previous generation kit until September 2009, allowing Investigators to complete their projects with the older kits.
