The Facility operates a Biorad Experion automated electrophoresis system for visualizing DNA fragments and offers this analysis as a stand-alone, modestly priced service. This service is ideal for routine DNA analysis, as well analysis of restriction digest, amplified DNA, microsatellites and amplified fragment length polymorphisnms (AFLPs).

The Experion system offers 2 types of DNA chips, a 1K chip for samples with fragments in the 25-1,000 bp range and a 12K chip for samples with fragments in the 100-12,000 bp range. The GEGF stocks supplies to run either chip.
