Single-Cell Analysis

Recent advances in genomics make single cell analysis feasible. This technology opens a previously unavailable novel view of population heterogeneity. For example, clonal evolution [genome sequencing] and expression ranges [RNAseq] will play increasing roles in cancer diagnosis and monitoring, biomarker and drug development. Minor populations carrying key mutations are masked by dominant populations, but revealed by single cell analyses. We utilize Fluidigm’s C1 to isolate single cells.  Currently we are using this technology to amplify RNA and harvest for downstream analysis.
